My Problem

Battery wear was already at 30% according to the Battery Life app, and a replacement seemed the only way to go.

My Fix

Got myself the Replacement Kit from iFixit, and used both the video and the pic tutorial do do it step by step.

Removing the adhesive strips were indeed the hardest part, as both left and . . .

My Problem

We had 2 iPhone 5's that were getting less than 3 hours with a full charge. Figured we needed to replace them but my nephew said he had used iFixIt's battery replacement without a hitch. If he could do it we figured we could too.

My Problem

My Iphone 5s developed a microphone issue after a few months of use. I couldn't be heard when making a phone call unless I used my speakerphone. Got repaired... the "original" replacement from ebay seems oil friendly. Now I have to clean the lens more often.

1) Buy the tools. They're not that expensive and you can't do it without them.

2) Watch the videos (twice). I missed the "don't pry here" warning the first time through.
