My Problem

I bought my first apartment a few months ago, where I live with my girlfriend. It was built in 1969 and belonged to the same woman ever since. When we got home last night, there was no way to get the key inside the lock and make it turn. It was stuck. We have a 3-point lock, which is very secure.

My Fix

I purchased a used cable witch came well packaged and in a static free sealed bag. Followed the guide and it all went very well. Although the guide had call . . .

My Problem

Battery needed replacing

My Fix

Everything went well but I did have a small delay putting the screws (3) back into the battery connector cover(s). Just couldn't get the screws into the holes to line up. I removed the battery connector and reset it in its socket! Poofy that did it.

My Advice

My Problem

Battery was draining very quickly and the phone would shut off for no apparent reason.

My Fix

Repair took longer than expected - the screws are so small making them difficult to both remove and replace. Also, the instructions on the battery glue were very confusing.

My Advice

After one week of great phone and battery . . .

My Problem

Sometime, after supposedly charging overnight, I would (not) wake up to a dead phone. The normal removal of navel lint from the connector followed by cleaning with a little conta . . .

My Problem

My Fix

It went very well. The hardest part was that my old adhesive strips broke p . . .

My Problem

My display had a vertical line in the center

My Fix

The repair went smoothly

My Advice

Follow the manual, Take your time removing the connectors, sort the removed screws into containers, and have some good tape on hand to reinstall the labels and heat sink covers. Also use something to protect the new display when yo . . .

My Problem

My battery charge would drop quickly, and I went from one charge every two days to two charges each day without significant change in my usage. Moreover, my battery charge was frequently "lying" to me, suggesting there was more than there was or dropping quickly to 20% and staying there for longer t . . .

My Problem

Old display was getting pink and green lines across the screen.

My Fix

It went great, only part that required real patience was reconnecting the Touch ID ribbon cable. Other than that, the repair was quite easy

My Advice

Read the entire step before trying to attempt it

My Problem

The screen cracked after a drop. Seemed like a good idea to replace screen and battery.

My Fix

Great. Screen works perfectly. The battery holds a charge.

My Advice

Be very careful opening the case. It takes a bit of pull and, if not immediately checked, you'll rip the button cable. The adhesive strips are awesome . . .
