My Problem

I had a caked screen and could not get the digitizer apart from the frame.

My Fix

Repair went easy till the digitizer did not work. I had a hard time getting the connectors reconnected. After retrying again and doing some research on the connectors, I got it working 100%.

My Fix

Extremely easy! I had replaced a screen on a N7 before, but had to use a heat gun and glue/tape on the new screen/digitizer. This unit was the whole screen with bezel which made things 100X easier. Took about 10 min.

My Advice

Take your time and use a pill case for all the screws and a white hand . . .

My Problem

Not sure how, but the Nexus 7 (2nd Gen) developed a crack across the entire screen, taking out the touch sensitivity with it. After watching a few videos about replacing the screen and digitizer without replacing the LCD, we thought twice about attempting that and decided to take a chance on a "C" q . . .

My Problem

This is my wife's Nexus 7 (Gen2) that had a cracked screen. She dropped it on the screen face which caused a small crack down the middle of the screen causing half of the screen to no longer respond.

My Fix

Smoothest repair I have done... Getting the entire assembly made this super easy.. just moved the gut . . .

My Fix

The repair was pretty easy. I bought a used screen from IfixIt that was all three parts (glass, digitizer, and LCD panel) already assembled. The only thing I had to do was move the boards and battery over to the replacement screen.
