Purposefully Designed ¶
Each bit in the 64 Bit Driver Kit has a purpose. From game console controllers, to wearables, to canadian sheet metal, each bit is useful and specific. No superfluous bits, no filler items, just deliberate research for the most capable set of screwdriver bits.
Maximum Performance ¶
When it comes to turning screws, there's no substitute for quality. When you use the 64 Bit Driver Handle, you'll know that you're wielding ultimate repair power. With the three-sided high-torque zone, you'll be able to drive and release even the toughest screws. Closer to the tip of the driver is the knurled precision zone, providing lots of grip for delicate screw spinning. All that screwing is assisted by the blue-anodized swivel cap, giving you the quickest, comfiest, coolest screwdriver around.

My Fix
Smoothly as always!
My Advice
Great set for any type of repair you have. The Japanese Industrial Standard bits changed my life!
My Problem
Didn't use a repair guide. Replaced thermal pads and paste, then system started giving me the error code that people get when they replace the disc drive but not the motherboard and disc drive together.
My Fix
Fairly easy, had fun and now I am able to play disc games again.
My Advice
Be careful when taking apart your system, and always backup data. Didn't know that I wasn't able to transfer data from the HDD to computer due to Sony's encryption. Be really careful with those ribbon cables and make sure you plug them in the way they were before being unplugged. The 64-bit driver kit made it very easy.
My Problem
iMac Hard drive failure
My Fix
The upgrade was unbelievably easy. I have used many different drivers throughout my experience as a repair tech but this driver set is incredible. This is so much better than their old driver set that my shop wants to replace all of our techs driver kits with this one. Amazing job ifixit!
My Advice
Buy it!
My Problem
I needed to upgrade my MacBook Pro with more memory and a faster SSD HD
My Fix
Piece of cake. Very easy to do, and the tool kit had all the tools I needed. It was exactly the thing.
Except for the labeling of the various bits- that was difficult to read.
My Advice
The only thing that the 64 Bit Driver Kit needs to improve on is the legibility of the labels under the drivers. They are stamped black on black in the kit's foam and I could not read them.
It would be great to also supply a printed sheet with all the drivers named to help "blind" folks such as myself...
My Problem
Battery life was only about 2, 2.5 hours.
My Fix
Amazingly easy! I was hesitant about opening up a Macbook Air -- I always heard how the battery was not "user repairable." With iFixit's tools and instruction guide, the entire battery replacement took only 10 minutes.
My Advice
Don't be worried -- it's much, much easier than you think!
My Problem
I needed new tools.
My Fix
I've used the kit and eraser on several repairs.. both have worked great so far.
My Advice
Just a product review. I have used the older Drive kit from iFixit for 3 years. I saw this new 64 Bit Driver Kit and decided it was time to upgrade. The kit is awesome. The driver is much easier to handle than the one that came in the older kit. The top rotates smooth. The magnetic case is nice since the old kit wouldn't stay closed after about a year of use. It has T6 security bit, which newer Mac Minis require. The only downside is that the bit type is listed under each bit in black on black foam. It's hard to read, but nothing a silver sharpie couldn't fix. Otherwise, I do prefer the foam bit holder to the blue plastic holders.
As for the Detailing Eraser, it works great. I've used a fiberglass brush in the past to clean junk off contacts and boards. The detailing eraser works just as well in most cases, and you don't have to worry about wearing eye protection, or getting fiberglass stuck in your hand.
My Problem
No problem except what to buy my son-in-law for Christmas

We will see how much he likes it on Christmas day.
