Old battery (original) had gotten swollen (interfered with trackpad) and it didn't hold a charge.

My cat walked on my Mac-book and it crashed on the floor.

The screen broke in the meddle and the Apple store didn't want to repair it because too old (for them).

My Advice

If your Macbook A1278 battery needs to be replaced, I would go ahead and do it. It's so easy.

Take care of your electronics equipment (name it!). It'll save you . . .

My Problem

My Macbook unibody alu, late 2008, has a good 6 year on the back. A few years ago, i changes the HDD and screen unit, since it was going bad. Now the fan was started to sound like a jet engine and it was running slow, plus the battery only lasted an our.

My Fix

I Ordered a new SSD, plus a dummy for my Supe . . .

My Problem

Basically, because I was bored with the old system so I upgraded everything and I finally had the time - literally jumped from snow leopard to yosemite! It started with installing higher ram then figured out it was easy enough to install not just a new hard drive but a dual one. Thanks to you guys w . . .

Cracked screen of course

My Fix

The repair went well all the way until I tried to use the home button on the new display assembly only to find that it wouldn't depress, which made me depressed.
