What you need

      • Flip the controller around so the back part is facing you.

      • Use a T6 Torx screwdriver to remove seven screws from the back of the controller.

      • One of the screws is hidden under the sticker. Use a pair of tweezers to lift the sticker and reveal the screw.

      • The screws holding the face plate are of two different lengths:

      • The two longer screws belong to the two top screw sockets on the controller.

      • The five shorter screws belong in the five bottom screw sockets, two per handle, and on in the center of on the controller.

      • Face the controller toward you.

      • Gently lift the face plate off the controller.

      • The d-pad and action buttons will become loose once the face plate is lifted.

      • Pull both joystick covers straight up to remove them from the controller.

      • Remove the assembly that includes the power button and the top bumper buttons.

      • Remove the bumpers and triggers from the controller.

      • Locate the two black boxes towards the bottom of the controller.

      • Remove these two boxes by pulling them away from the controller. They should snap right off.

      • Locate the LED diffusers on either side of the controller face. They are clear, cylindrical strips that help spread light from the LED beneath the black boxes removed in the previous step.

      • Lift the upper ends of each LED diffuser and remove them.

      • Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the four screws that secure the LED diffuser tracks.

      • Remove the LED diffuser tracks.

      • Remove the motherboard from the controller case.

      • Disconnect the battery connector from the socket on the motherboard.

Hi @daviribeiro, we don't have the specific battery details, but it uses a 860mAh rechargeable Lithium-ion battery.

There exist a lot of different tips in battery hygiene, the most effective tip is to not let the battery discharge "below" 0%, as that can damage the battery, and in extension, make sure that there is always some charge on the battery. This usually comes more into effect when a battery sits unused for a long period of time, as batteries will naturally discharge over time. But batteries will always eventually need to be replaced.
