Toyota Camry Repair

The Toyota Camry is an automobile line sold internationally since 1982 by Toyota, a Japanese automobile manufacturer. The Camry was originally a compact (narrow-body) car, though later Camry models are considered mid-size (wide-body). Except for 2001, the Toyota Camry was the best-selling passenger car in the United States from 1997 to 2016.

Between 1979 and 1982, the Camry name was assigned to a four-door sedan model only in Japan, which was called the Celica Camry. Camry became an independent model line in 1982 and was made available as a five-door liftback and a four-door sedan. In 1986, the second-generation of the Camry launched with a station wagon taking the place of the liftback body model. Japanese Camry models are often less wide than models in other markets because of automotive tax regulations that require narrower bodies. Toyota Camry hybrid models were first released in 2006 and provide a more luxurious alternative to Toyota Prius hybrid vehicles.

Toyota vehicles in the Americas can be identified by the Toyota emblem, which depicts three overlapping ellipses. Camry automobiles include the name “Camry” in capital letters on the rear of the vehicle, either directly above the license plate or to one side. Hybrid models also include the Toyota hybrid emblem, which includes the name “Hybrid” in capital letters. Beginning in 2010, hybrid models include a Toyota emblem with a blue tint.
