Background

The T-Mobile G2 is a branded HTC Desire Z, which is a smartphone released in 2010. As the successor to the G1, the G2 has a sliding keypad, 3.7 inch LCD, and comes with Android 2.2.1 (Froyo) installed. The G2 features a fast boot feature, which allows it to power on in less than 5 seconds.

Known Issues

Display defect

Some models will experience a display defect where the display will break and not show anything, in addition to looking cracked. HTC discovered this issue and fixed it in the next rev. If you experience this issue in the United States, contact T-Mobile and they will replace it for free, without warranty coverage.
