I've had 3 g2's in the last 4 months and they all had problems with the charging ports not making good connections. At this point, I will get another phone with a different type of charging plug in. I don;t have time to keep moving the charging cord for an hour until the charging light finally stays on and I've bought 3 different chargers. T-mobile has bad service when they have people from other countries answering questions and you can't understand what they are saying. I want to speak to an American and not from another country. Bring the jobs back to America.

Gregory Herrera, this is a know error with that type of phone. First thing I would try is a new cable. It is possible that the cable end is not making proper contact. If that does not work, you will have to disassemble your phone and replace the connector. The ports are available at places like this and require soldering onto the circuit board. To disassemble your phone, you can get instructions from here and here as well. Hope this helps, good luck.

Good info, oldturkey03! My phone in the past two weeks has begun this same insanity. I thought after about 3 years it might have been the battery, so I risked the $5 and got one from Amazon. No go. I thought (feared) it was a charger port issue as well, since I have 5-6 different ways to charge, and all appear to work equally crappy. This should be a fun project, however I'll more than likely destroy the phone and/or lose a few of those little screws, or get it all contaminated with cat-fur, or all of the above.

I just replaced the charging port board on a SII 9100 fixed the problem. and it works like a charm.
