Background and Identification
Apple released the Smart Battery Case in December 2015 to supplement the below-average battery life of the iPhone 6s. This case, in conjunction with the iPhone's internal battery, will offer up to 25 hours of talk time, or 20 hours of video playback. The Smart Battery Case is easy to identify: it is the only iPhone battery case made by Apple. Additionally, it features a prominent bulge on the back, and the model number, A1585, printed on the inner microfiber lining.
