Background & Identification ¶
The Moto G4 Plus is a fourth generation Motorola Android smartphone first released on May 17, 2016. It is one of three 4th-generation models, the other two being Moto G4 (standard model) and Moto G4 Play (lower-end model). It is available in white and black.
The Moto G4 Plus has a larger display than the Moto G4 Play. Unlike the standard Moto G4, the Moto G4 Plus has a fingerprint sensor on the bottom. The G4 Plus also has a 16-megapixel rear camera, a higher resolution than the other models. Furthermore, it differs from Motorola’s previous generation smartphones by having a larger display (5.5 inches compared to 5.0) and a fingerprint sensor.
In 2017, the fifth generation Moto G5 was announced and is expected to go on sale in April.
