Background and Identification
The Lenovo ThinkPad x230 is assembled in the United States. With a 6-cell battery, it can last up to 9.9 hours on battery. The X230 also features WiFi and Bluetooth, which can be used to connect to the Internet.
When these laptops were new, they came with a 3 year warranty. With a weight of 3lbs and the 12.5" display, this laptop is also easy to carry.
Along with the standard features of the X230, the X230t also comes with a fingerprint reader. This can be used to power your laptop on and log into Windows.
Upgrades
If you wish to upgrade your X230, the following components can be upgraded:
RAM
If you want to upgrade your X230, these laptops can accept up to 16GB of RAM. While most X230's will come with 4GB of RAM, this may not be the case on all models.
Hard drive
The X230 will accept any standard 7mm hard drive. These laptops can accept an SSD, which will boost the speed of your laptop if you are replacing an older SSD or a mechanical drive.
WiFi
The X230 has a WiFi whitelist, so a Lenovo card on the whitelist must be used. If you do not do this, the laptop will fail with an 1802 POST error.
If you are not happy with the current wireless card, you will need to find a Lenovo variant of these cards:

WWAN card
At this point in time, all WWAN cards that are supported are obsolete. Unless the laptop does not have a whitelist check for these cards, installing one is not recommended. With that being said, these cards are supported:
