Background and Identification
The Braven BRV-1s is a speaker designed for outdoor use produced and released by Braven in 2013. It has a 6w speaker output and includes a built-in noise-cancelling speakerphone and microphone. The speaker features an IPX7 certified waterproof feature that protects it from rainfall, snow, and being submerged for up to 30 minutes. The Braven BRV-1s has a wireless Bluetooth feature with a range of up to 33 feet (or 10 meters). It is able to play for up to 14 hours. There is an external USB charging port, a separate charging port to charge other devices, and a 3.5 mm audio-in jack.
The Braven BRV-1s is identifiable by a rubber casing with a removable cap on one side and speaker grates on the bottom of and opposite side of the cap. The word, “Braven,” is etched on the top with a plus, minus, power, and play (resembles a triangle) buttons to either side etched in as well (not raised). The Braven BRV-1s is easily distinguished from other similar Braven products as it is less rectangular in shape. The Braven BRV-1s measures 4.75 x 3.25 x 2.25 inches. There have been no recalls on the product.
