Background and Identification
The Acer Predator brand refers to a line of gaming computers made by Acer starting in 2008. These computers come in a variety of sizes, but this page is dedicated to those with a 17.3” diagonal screen measurement. 17 inch computers are quite large, and are not very portable. However, they usually have more powerful processors. 17 inch computers make good gaming laptops, and they are also useful for professionals who need to do high-energy tasks on their computers, such as rendering or animation. There are eleven Acer Predator laptops with 17.3” screens that fit into this category. They can be split into the Triton 900, Helios 500, and Helios 300 lines. The computers within these lines will have different processors, storage capacities, or graphics, but will be similar in most other ways. The following list is a breakdown of model numbers for each category.
Predator Triton 900
Predator Helios 500
Predator Helios 300
The model number of an Acer Predator laptop can be found on a label on the underside of the laptop, along with the serial number. Acer Support offers more information on these numbers and what format they use. These identifying numbers can be used to determine the type of laptop that you have, and can be entered into the Acer Support website for troubleshooting help and other information from the manufacturer.
