How can I fix the keyboard connector on the circuit board?

I have a Powerbook G4 and when I took off the top cover the connector to the keyboard broke off from the circuit board. Is there any way of fixing this part or building a temporary connector?

Answer this question I have this problem too

I have done something very similar with an iBook G4 and the connectors are all surface-mounted. This means you can't solder it back on and it's virtually impossible to fix. That was with the power button, completely breaking the computer.

As for the keyboard, I don't think you'll get any connector back on the board due to the surface-mounting. I can't help you any more than to advise a USB Keyboard

solder the cable to the circuit board. use wires (stripped from a multi strand cable) to support - worked on C64's and such
