Is the Home Button Socket replaceable? Does it require the entire steel frame to be replaced, or is it part of a component that can be replaced?

the socket is on the dock connector. if it is damaged you need to replace that part.have you opened the phone and damaged that part or are you just trying to troubleshoot?
