What are symtoms of dead pram battery?
Model A1226: Screen is blank but device seems to be on.
Makes start-up tones and key tones.

A dead PRAM battery: if not connected to the internet, when shut ff and turned back on will not keep date and time, printer will drop off line. Remove main battery and AC for an hour to test.
