Top RAM Slot is not functioning

I had the 3 beep signal on startup of my late model Mini. After some diagnostics I discovered that the top RAM slot seems to be dead. When I take the RAM module out and replace it, it feels a bit like sandpaper rubbing. I've had a look with a light and magnifying glass but don't see anything there. Any ideas or solutions much appreciated. (I'm on an extended biz trip with the Mini and won't be near a trusted repair station for a few weeks)

Thanks.

We saw this problem a lot withthe old G4 PowerBooks (loss of one slot). I've haven't seen it to much with the Minis. Try some canned air first. Try using just one stick and put it in each slot to test. If the slot is indeed faulty, get the largest size stick it will handle and try to live with it. With out knowing exactly which machine you have, I can't tell you the MAX. Please give us the last three figures of your serial number. When you get home you can use the Liquid Damage Guide to really clean it.
