Hi @jemir013198

With the camera turned on have you tried pressing either the disp or the set buttons to check if the display turns on? - see image below

Try taking some pictures and then download them to a computer and check if the pictures are OK or not. I realize that you cannot see the pictures in the LCD screen.

If the downloaded pictures are black then there's a motherboard problem and further testing would be required to find out what's wrong.

If the downloaded pictures are OK then there's a problem with the LCD screen in the camera.

With the camera turned on, try shining a flashlight at an angle close to the LCD screen and check if you can see any images at all on the screen, either menu options or a picture.

If you can see images then there's a backlight problem with the LCD screen. Either a faulty LCD screen backlight power cable connection, a backlight power supply problem on the motherboard or more likely a faulty LCD screen.

If you can't see any images then most likely it's a faulty LCD screen.

Here's the ifixit Canon EOS Rebel XS LCD Replacement guide that will help you to check the cable connections from the LCD screen to the motherboard and also to replace the LCD screen (supplier examples) if you determine that it is the problem.
