Console not turning on

My 3DS XL is not turning on after I dropped it a few weeks ago (the top screen wasn’t working at first, but now the whole console is not turning on. It makes a clicking noise before shutting down every time I try to power it). I opened it up and tried disconnecting and connecting the WiFi chip, also disconnected and re connected the entire motherboard, but it’s still not working. While connecting them, I noticed one of the top screen ribbon cables has a small cut through it. It’s still connected, but the cut is obvious. It had it since I re-shelled it a few months ago, though, and the console didn’t have any problems.

Should I replace the ribbon cable, or is there something else I need to do? If it’s the first, what ribbon cables would I need? It’s the cable underneath the thinner one.

Hi!

Okay first, the click sound can be related to the speaker ribbon cable.

If this fails (also for the upper screen) it won't boot anymore.

I would replace the speakers (with ribbon) and replace the upper screen as well, as this one already failed before.

It won't be easy, but this is most likely the solution!
