Options

Wet iPhone only connects to iTunes on recovery?

I accidentally wet my iPhone. I didn't turn it on since then. So far I:

  • Put iPhone in rice (opened iPhone) - 24 hours
  • Put motherboard in alcohol, then put it in rice - 24 hours

After each attempt, the iPhone connects to iTunes in recovery mode, blank screen. I used TinyUmbrella and clicked, "Fix Recovery". The only thing thats different is that, on the screen, the back lit has texts on it (like when you first jailbreak an iPhone).

What are my options?

Options

Try to restore it how it is.

Try to restore it in DFU mode. (10 seconds power and home and continue to hold home while connected via usb)

Try to restore it in recovery mode.(10 seconds power and home and continue to hold home while not connected)

post your error codes if you get any.

Error 1600. I also got 1602 before.

Other times, iTunes crashes while it says, "Preparing iPhone..."
