Swap display between two M2 MacBook Air laptops

I have an activation locked Macbook air 13" that's in perfect condition and one with a broken screen. would I be able to swap the screen to the unlocked machine without having to go through a pairing procedure? Are there any major roadblocks that would prevent me from constructing my frankenstein's monster?

I'm aware that I would lose true tone functionality but I don't see why I should care about that lol.

If the screen is healthy I see noting stopping you as long as you don't care about TrueTone.
