iPhone shuts off when unplugged after screen replacement

I replaced the screen on an iphone for sprint. When it is plugged in it shows it is charging and stays on. Everything works on it it but it shuts off shortly after it is uplugged with full battery life. Any idea what could be causing my problem? I did the contact clip that goes on the battery, could it be that or something else? Please help, thank you.

It sounds like the battery is not connected properly. The contact clip, if not seated properly, can cause the battery connector to not sit in the terminal on the logic board correctly.
