I have an HP ElitePad 1000 G2 that was working fine, but when I took the battery out, the tablet stopped working, even when I put it back in

Some more context here would be helpful. Why did you remove the battery in the first place? Are you getting any lights or indications it is accepting power?

I wanted to replace it with another one ... I did it before I got my hands on the new ones.
