This accessory is not optimized for this iPhone

Not an answer - cannot see where to ask my question ...

I have the same problem as above, just started suddenly last 24 hours. First, I do not have anything plugged into the phone; it is not currently being charged, it is not connected to my laptop. As well this error message doesn't identify the object that the phone is having issue with. I thought it referred to an app I had downloaded. The message appears every 7-10 minutes - quite a drag.

Apologies if this is not the correct place to post this. Thanks for anyone who might respond with a solution anyway.

Possibly the iPhone charging port is shorting. Clean iPhone port thoroughly with clean dry toothbrush. If problem continues, clean again with toothbrush and a small amount of Isopropyll Alcohol. Clean especially the pins which are on top of the mid-rib of the port.

It has nothing to do with cleanliness because within the last 24 hours I have also gotten this message repeatedly.

@schwager99, did you clean your dock connector? Did you check the pins to make sure they are not broken, bend, or corroded? Did you check your cable? what else have you checked? When did this start? Is it there all the time?

I have a wall recharger which I cleaned thoroughly but it has always worked fine and recharges reliably. I haven't downloaded any apps in weeks. The message first started late Friday the 13th and continued all day Saturday and today. When I first unlock the phone it's there and as soon as I click anything else it goes away and I can't find it again....until it shows up next time. But that's not necessarily the next time I unlock the phone. I'll time it and see how often it happens and if the cleaning helped. It just seems odd that several people experienced this problem in the last few days.
