PSP 1001 Right Trigger Unresponsive

Basically I haven't used the PSP in some time and after starting it again I noticed the right trigger is toast, doesn't respond to any clicks.

Anyone know what might fix that?

Thanks

I repaired many of them and it’s easy! You need to replace the whole flex cable and after this it should be fine.

You need the PSP1000 one. If you have any questions, please let us know!

Interesting! I'm a little indimitated at how many parts seem to be in the console but I'll see if I can give that a shot. I'm guessing it's more or less you unscrew the whole thing and simply replace that part you order for it?

Thanks!

Hi Alex! Yes that is correct. You need to take the front cover off, then the home button, volume buttons, etc bar, be careful to take it out the connector, all of them are very fragile. And then remove the LCD (it's still connected to the motherboard, so again, be careful). Then take the right board out. Follow this guide: PSP 1000 Motherboard Replacement (till step 16) and then put the new part in and reassemble it again. Good luck and be careful!
