What should I to do For vertical colored line symptom ,

I had water damage . The phone had vertical colored lines / bands over black back round on screen . Then I had taken it apart cleaned and dried for a few days . Does the vertical lines mean I definitely have bad screen or other part or should I put it back together and try it.
