door is locked on hotpoint washing machine wdd760 - i have tried turning on/off- running cycles - i have had back off - pump doesn't appear blocked- any ideas anyone???

Try unplugging it for a few minutes if you haven't done that, if that doesn't work I found this on youtube. Sounds like you have a bad lockout mechanism on it..

thanks- useful link- called engineer out- there is an extra door release switch behind front bottom panel on my model- get me by until new part arrives
