MacBook charge port tilts inward

hi yall this seems like a great online community this is my 1st post, anyways....

i try and baby my comp, but the other month ago i might have messed up the charging port. heres what i know:

1. my charging port is now silver, but i think i scratched off two different layers, on was gold and flaky maybe and the other time it was darker color or idk what it was like accumulation of stuff or the outer layers of the magnet chipping off? any ways idk if this stuff pushed it in or

2. i might have pushed the charging cord in to hard some how, and now it tilts in a horizontal manner,

i use and bounce between power cords, one works a little better than the other- and now my battery i have to replace

but that could just be from never shutting the computer down fully ever idk. my Question is should i replace the port along with the battery, i feel it might charge a new batt fine, but would it mess it up over a period of time?
