The PSP E1000 is a handheld games console designed by Sony. Also known as the PSP Street, this budget-friendly version of the PlayStation Portable released in October 2011.

Is my device bricked?

So, I was opening my PSP Street wide to get something stuck in the SD slot out, and I unplugged the LCD: And when I put it back the video output was fine at first but after some on/off it showed a white screen. I tried unplugging it and plugging it back and turns out I plugged it in loosely. However after a very short duration the screen gradually turned white, so I plugged it out.

Next thing I know the PSP has turned off and not only the battery stopped working altogether, but the display didn't show anything anymore.

Is it bricked? or can I somehow, by a miracle, fix it?

EDIT: Turns out the battery is fine, I somehow managed to plug it in in a way that it unplugs itself when I put the lid back on and pick the device up. 🤦‍♂️
Anyways, the screen remains an issue. I can see it changing brightness very slightly when I turn on the PSP, and nothing on the display itself seems damaged; But it shows a completely black screen. I've tried to shine a bright flashlight on it, but not much of a signal can be seen.

Hi! White screens usually indicates that the cable isn’t connected properly or is damaged. Won’t your PSP not turning on anymore?? Or does it turn on at the moment?

Yeah, you probably need a new screen. The ribbon cable is probably damaged. I would try this first and see how it goes!

Turns out, the battery was just loosely plugged in. it can actually turn on without AC, but that still doesn't fix the screen issue. It's completely black, but it actually turns on and I can see it slightly changing brightness. I don't know if the display is fried or the device is bricked.
