Search does not work with PS4 controller

I have a problem when I turn on the search on the PS4 console with this controller, so the touch surface seems to be pressed down and I can't move to another letter either by touch or with the levers. And another different controller does this to me, and it doesn't work on another console either. I know it will be a problem with the controller somewhere. Please someone help me

So if I understand correctly.....the controller connects to the console correctly but it behaves as though the touch pad is being continuously pressed even though it isn't? This is only happening when trying to use the onscreen keyboard of the search function? Does it happen in games too or ONLY with the onscreen keyboard in the search menu? There are games where you can name your character for example which will also bring up and onscreen keyboard, does it happen then as well? Try a game that uses the touch pad for some other functionality.....does it work fine there? Have you tried replacing the entire touch pad + ribbon cable with one from a known working controller?

@rebtech Yes, it's exactly when searching, whether in the library or the PS store, and also in the game when I'm looking for something. And it behaves that way because the PS4 console never goes into sleep mode when I don't play for a long time. I tried to replace the touchpad from another controller, but then other things don't work, so it won't be compatible even though I saw the same marking in the description

Hi! Well this answered it I guess, it is the touchpad causing this! You need to use the exact same model as the one that came out your broken controller. Otherwise, other components may not work correctly. Also make sure that the PS4 is fully up to date!
