My touchpad clicking command is not working

I accidentally dropped my ethyl alcohol on my laptop. Thankfully little alcohol reached the main parts of my laptop and I immediately wiped it all off. However, the alcohol reached my touchpad and I also immediately dried and wiped all the alcohol off. After doing all this process, all keys on my keyboard are working and my touchpad can still move the cursor but it won't do the click or select command anymore. Can someone help me?

Have you opened it up to clean at all?

It might be to replace it but hopefully not

i havent opened it up because i don't have the necessary tools to open the insides of the laptop :(
