iPhone SE Volume/Vibrate Key Switch connector to Logicboard broken?

The connection looks damaged to me on both sides, but it's hard for me to tell because i am just getting started with repairing my own stuff. It doesn't connect anymore so that's telling aswell.

It looks like i've been a little too rough on the connecting parts.

could someone help me giving an assesment which part is actually damaged?

And sidequestion: How careful are you when connecting these parts? / what are these parts called that are shown in the picture?

To me, it looks like the cable has a bent/broken pin and the top pin on the logic board looks bent, but savable.

you should be fairly gentle with these connectors, pressing on one side at a time.

you should try to GENTLY bend the top pin on the connector back into place, and you might need to buy yourself a new vol. switch.

Just to be clear, you mean the single pin that is at the top of the connecting part of the logicboard, and i need to bend it backwards again like on the other side?
