Special tools to remove elect connectors?

Need to replace the mode dial on my nikon d7500, I will be replacing the top part of the camera which holds the flash and the dials. Do I need special tools to pop the connectors off that are inside the camera (and is there a technique to doing so?) or will small screw driver work?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

@garygwaltney how come one never has the right manual when one is needed :-) I just checked the one for the D750 and the D7000 and they are all pretty similar in the removal of the mode button. Looks like a small screwdriver will do. Here is what it shows for the 7000

I do not think it will be much different on your camera.
