What causes flasing red battery icon after replacement?

I replaced the battery. When attempt to boot an image of a battery flashes red. As if there is no charge in battery. After testing 3 known good USB-c power supplies still no joy. :"Charged" overnight still nothing.

Anyone else had this?

How do I get attention of iFixit to swap this out?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

First off let’s get a better view of things to see where the problem is, install this gem of an App CoconutBattery take a snapshot of the Apps main screen and post it here for us to see.

As far as getting ahold of iFixit Store your paperwork should have what you need an here’s the contact info Customer Support

But before you do that let’s make sure your issue is the Battery and not something else.

That app could really work if the problem wasn't that the 2017 Macbook Pro 13" laptop does not boot. It only flashes the red icon. Thanks for your input.

@christhemacguy - so you never get past the black screen and the icon. That would imply the BMC is not connected to the battery. Check your ribbon cable, reference Steps 10 thru 13 in this guide MacBook Pro 13" Function Keys 2017 Battery Replacement

Not sure what specifically a BMC is but it is assembled reverse of the take-apart. No extra parts left over. I did remove all and reinstall everything. It obviously sees the battery in installed because when the battery ribbon in disconnected nothing happens when pressing the power button. Upon reattachment I get the red blinker.

@christhemacguy - BMC = Battery Management Control here we are talking about the ribbon cable which maybe damaged or not seated into the ZIF connectors at each end fully.

On one end visual looks fine. The other end, looped back over itself is not visible or accessible for a close inspection, but there is no way for pressure or movement on that connection.
