The second diagnostic led is blinking after connecting to power

Hello,

I have an imac with a strange problem. The machine does not seem to have any compactor problem, but the second diagnostic led is blinking. The first one is steady on and even without pressing the power button the second led blinks. As I have read the second led should be turned on when i turn on the machine, but it blinks when I connect the power cord.

I disconnected the power button cable and does the same thing. Also I reset the PMU. Also I tried an other power supply from a friends computer, just to be sure.

Do I need a new logic board??? Can I see anything else before trash it???

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

LED 1 indicates that trickle voltage from the power supply has been detected. This LED will be ON when the computer is turned off and your power supply is working correctly.

LED 2 indicates that the main logic board has detected proper power from the power supply when the computer is turned on. This LED will be ON when the computer is turned on and the power supply is working correctly.

LED 3 indicates that the computer and the LCD display are communicating. This LED will be ON when the computer is turned on and video signal is being generated.

LED 4 lights only if the computer detects an over-temperature condition. This LED will be OFF when the computer is turned on and running at the correct temperature.
