M1 MacBook Air going directly to Diagnostic Loader image.

Bought a used M1 logic board for a MacBook Air off eBay.

When I connect the USB charger it "always" boots directly to the diagnostic loader. If I attempt to run the diagnostic, it will go thru the "starting message, then downloading, then starting the diagnostic and right after that message appears( within 1 or 2 seconds) it hangs with a message saying:

" connect power adapter to run diagnostic"

Only option at the bottom of the screen are shutdown or reboot. Rebooting goes back to square one, diagnostic mode.

If I don't try running the diagnostic, on the top left, I can click the Apple logo and provides an option to select boot up disk. Selecting the embedded disk reboots to the diagnostic mode again. I tried booting from and external image I created with Carbon Copy Cloner from my M1 Mac mini, using the "start up option" still reboots into the diagnostic mode.

Anyone that has run into something similar and could share something will be greatly appreciated.

What happens when you plug in the battery? Does diags run through?

Same thing....I even tried to do a system restore and revive...that also failed...so I return the logic board, it was from eBay
