I got a case in the mail and it came with a screen ease cool, but then I saw a bunch of mixed review Thought I would get on here and ask if it’s safe.

Unlike many laptops the display is quite close to the uppercase so adding anything between risks screen damage.
Plastic shells that clip to the body and lid have clips which over hang the edge. Even screen protectors are often too thick and besides they can damage the anti reflective coatings.
Best not to add any hard plastic shells or screen protectors. At best to get a bit more life and personality use vinyl stick-on skins which are very thin and leave the screen as is.

Yeah, it's totally fine to use a plastic screen protector on your mac, It can help protect your screen from scratches and smudges. Just make sure to clean the screen before applying it.
