MacBook Pro 16in Keyboard Screw Size

Took apart my laptop to replace the keyboard (a friend spilled red bull on it). Ordered a new keyboard but didn't come with screws. Haven't been able to find anything reliable online for what to get. I order some but they were way too small. Wondering if someone else has done this and could let me know?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Check the teardown guide on ifixit here but I am fairly certain there is no screws because the keyboard is riveted down and as such is not really considered repairable. Unless you posted the wrong model and in which case I typically simply use the screws from the old keyboard on the new one.

@eclectricc Yes, it is riveted down. However there is usually people that sell screws when you do the keyboard replacement. I had bought a set but they did not fit. I had done the same thing on a 2013 MacBook pro as well. I just can't find anything reputable for screw sizes on this newer stuff.

I would contact the seller of the keyboard to get the needed screws, or just return the part to get your money back. While more expensive, I would just replace the full uppercase assembly MacBook Pro 16" (2019) Upper Case Assembly. I’ve long since given up trying to replace the keyboards on there own.
