My charger is not charging my steam deck light will not even come on..

Hello, I've had my steam deck for about a year and a half and was trying to play it the other day I hit the power button and nothing. when I plug in the charger that came with the deck the light doesn't even light up to signify that it is charging. I already tried basic trouble shooting from YouTube and steam deck support and unfortunately nothing. I even tried a different charger like the nintendo switch or just a usb c android charger. I am pretty certain my usb c charging port is busted. Has anyone else ran into this problem?

Believe it or not there’s also a whole page full of things for Steam Deck No Power Troubleshooting, but sounds like you may be right.

Does the charger seem wiggly? If the port is the problem, that could be a tricky repair because it’s soldered to the motherboard. I would check to be sure the port is clear first, could be some debris stuck. But if not, then charge port is a totally realistic cause for this.

It’s fixable, but you’d want some soldering experience under your belt before undertaking it yourself. There might be a local repair shop that could do it though.
