Is there any difference in Airport Extreme cards?

To my great enjoyment I scored a great deal on a used iBook G4! The serial number indicates an early 2004 model. It has an Airport Extreme card installed with a 2003 date printed on it.

I still have my AirPort Extreme card with a 2004 date printed on it.

My question is: what is the difference between these cards and will the newer one perform better than the older one?

Both say Model No. A1026 have identical FCC and IC numbers.

Thanks

Frank

The iBook G4 2003/2004 use the same Airport Extreme card:

The last iBooks G4 produced in 2005 (iBook G4 1.33Ghz 12" and iBook G4 1.42Ghz 14") use a different Airport Extreme card that was installed inside the iBook (not user replaceable). The card has two functions: wireless and bluethoot.
