try to use 3.0 usb external disk to 800 fire wire
Connection by usb is not available, but can it work a3.o usb to fire work to make it faster than 2.0 usb?

An adapter can not increase the speed of a port. It can decrease, but not increase. The Bus speed of the port is fixed at the logic board.
