How do you open the earbuds on the new earphones?

I have the new earphones as described above and the right earphone stopped working. it was work fine earlier, so I'm guessing the wire got detached somehow. can anyone help with my problem?

Options

Unfortunately, there really isn't an easy way inside the iPod headphones. Sometimes, you can get the front grill to pop off, allowing you to fix the possibly damaged connection.
