Why cant I listen to my music?

i believe i have the first ipod touch but im not totaly sure. if so i am confused as to why i can hear the clicks and sounds from searching my ipod but im not sure why i cant listen to music? does it have speakers capable of playing music? please email me with any help possible

no the 1st gen has no speakers try doing a restore

You need to plug in earphones into the audio out port.
