How can you remove the replacement adhesive supplied by ifixit?

I have an iMac that at some point has been opened, removing the original Apple adhesive, and been replaced with the iFixit adhesive strips.

Is there a guide or any instructions on how to open an iMac that has these strips?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Remove them the same way you do the originals:

Thanks! Just to be clear - the instructions you linked to are how to fit the adhesive, right? The instructions to remove it is the one on how to replace the screen.

Also, I have read that the Ifixit replacement adhesive is much stronger and more difficult to cut. Is this true? Do you have any tips? Would a hairdryer help? Thanks!

I've done both original and iFixit. You can use a little alcohol or acetone to remove any remains. Put the remover on a cloth or paper towel first, do not spay on iMac.
