Fingerprint issues after screen change

After screen change my fingerprint sensor not showing in settings, changed sensor and it's now showing in settings but when trying to setup fingerprint at start it immediately timed out ? See video clip

With the 6 series, google did program the fingerprint sensor to each specific device but luckily they did make the calibration software available to the public. Just be aware it is finicky at times and may take a few tries to get it to work.

Tried it a number of times and it seems to calibrate it always said successfully updated but no message it worked on the phone but didn't work still the same problem 🙁

@georgehyslop did you purchase a used/refurb display or genuine google display? I've heard that in order to calibrate the sensor it may need a brand new un-programmed sensor.

Thank Jesse I have ordered a new sensor so I will update when it arrives hopefully it will sort it out 🙄 if not anyone looking for a 6pro 😁

Just fitted a new sensor today and did all the recalibration tool bit etc but has soon has you put your finger near it its still timing out. Has Google or anybody have any other ideas ðŸĪŠ

same problem as George Hyslop, someone has any alternative solution? Tried absolutely everything, using the udfps calibration tool, with USB debugging enabled, trying entering secure mode, etc etc etc. multiple times, I don't know what else is left
