Can I put the dishwasher tablets in the bottom of the dishwasher?

If your dishwasher’s dispenser doesn’t open every time or leaves detergent inside. Can I put the pods or tablets in the bottom of the dishwasher at the start?

Placing the tablet at the bottom of the dishwasher it’s likely that it will dissolve too quickly, releasing the detergent during the prewash and leaving no detergent for the main wash cycle. This will reduce the efficiency of your wash.

It is possible to achieve clean dishes just by placing the tablet or actionpac in the bottom of the dishwasher but you won’t get the best results this way. Unlike a clothes washer, a dishwasher uses the detergent in the middle of the cycle. The pre wash will wash away the detergent before the main wash can begin. During the main wash, water is heated up to a specific temperature allowing the soap dispenser to open. This is the best time for detergent to enter the water. Two rinses will follow and the cycle is complete.
