Can I use an iPhone 6s battery on a SE?

So I have an almost complete iPhone SE 1 without a battery, that I am unsure if it is working or not, and I don’t have a SE 1 Battery In my spare parts bin, but I do have one of a 6S, I looked and the connectors are exactly the same, I know that the 6S battery is too big and won’t fit inside the phone, but I just want the logic board to be powered to see if it’s working. will it work? Will it brick the logic board if I connect it? or do I need an actual SE 1 battery?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

@hazel_888 if you have a voltmeter you can try to check the voltage on the pins on both batteries. If they have similar voltage on the same pins it shouldn't harm the board.

Hold that thought. I'll check.

Just gotta find out which side is positive because the connectors are not in the same orientation.

Sure can. I had to check. But works with the SE. You just have to turn the battery perpendicular to the phone. The part of the battery connector that's close the the battery is the positive side.
