This series uses one of these Batteries A1377, A1405, A1496. The markings on the battery should match up with Apples model numbers not the systems (unless added with the battery numbers and clearly marked)

For reference here’s iFixit’s battery for this system MacBook Air 13" (Late 2010-2017) Battery review the voltage and wattage values.

If you have a MacBook Air A1466 model, the battery compatibility depends more on the specific battery part number rather than just matching the A1466 model number.

Here are a few tips on getting the right replacement battery:

  • Look up the full part number for the original battery in your A1466 MacBook Air (usually found on the battery sticker or in system information).
  • Find a replacement battery with the identical full part number to ensure compatibility. Matching just A1466 alone is not sufficient.
  • If an exact part number match isn't available, look for a battery with the same voltage (11.3V), watt hours (3800mAh or higher) and dimensions.
  • Avoid any batteries intended for different MacBook Air models, as the fit and connections may be incompatible, even if they have A1466 in the description.
  • Reputable sites like iFixit have battery replacement guides showing exactly which parts work for each A1466 MacBook Air. Check the guides to buy the right match.
  • Be very wary of cheap no-name batteries which likely won't have proper board connections. Stick to genuine Apple or reputable third-party replacement batteries.

The most important factor is finding the battery with the identical full part number as your original. Matching just the A1466 model year alone doesn't guarantee compatibility.
