My iPad 6th Gen WI-FI had a weird battery level indicator

Recently, my iPad 6th Gen WI-FI's battery level indicator behaved weirdly. It started when I saw that the battery level was stuck at 17%, I decided to restart my device, the battery level was down to 8%, and then weirdly rised to 19%. I then let my device sit for a while, it now showed 15%. After that, it went back to normal. The analytics showed 1932 battery cycles which means around 61% battery health. I had this device since Christmas 2018.

Update: I didn’t properly plug in the charger. It dropped from 10% to 6% in 2 minutes. At first, it charged slowly, but it looks like it’s now charging fast.

Sounds like you're due for a battery replacement. 61% battery health basically means when it says it has 100% charge on the battery icon, it really means it's more like 60%. You'll see this type of behavior when the health drops low. Typically I recommend people replace it at around 85%, at least on phones.

Looks like you can buy a replacement battery here on iFixit if you feel comfortable attempting your own repair. If not, call around local repair shops. iPad Air, iPad 5, iPad 6 Battery

Update: my dad gave his iPad 9th gen to replace my iPad 6th gen, The newer iPad definitely has more battery life than the older one.

And also, i’m not sure if my 61% battery health calculation is correct, but i know that it now has more than 2k battery charge cycles.
