So i took my controller apart to try and clean my dpad which worked but after plugging the controller all the face buttons except the square button no longer work. I've cleaning the rubber contacts but to no results. Why are they not working now if they were working 15 minutes ago ?

Maybe the little sponge isn't sitting where it's supposed to, correctly? Double check that. If the sponge lost too much of it's sponginess you can add a small appropriately shaped bit of electricians tape to it's underside, not the side that presses against the flex circuit.
